Most entrepreneurs of color can tell you a story about how they’ve been treated with suspicion in an office because of race. Research shows that the cumulative effect of such slights — contributing to individual self-doubt and demoralization — leads to turnover at three and a half times the rate of white men, and a huge loss to the economy.
