There will be the opportunity for Ada's List members to submit questions to the Monzo experts ahead of time - in the weeks leading up to this interactive webinar. The Q&A session will see our Monzo panel answering questions from our Ada's List community and then opening the floor in the last 15-20 mins for a live Q&A with the session attendees.
So, come prepared with any questions you might have for Monzo - a company who have continued to challenge their own industry by pushing the boundaries of FinTech - from prioritising staff and customer mental wellbeing, to asking the government to force banks to let customers block all gambling transactions.
We'll be talking about what #ChooseToChallenge means to our panelists in terms of both work and personal lives - come and be a part of the conversation.

Vuokko Aro - Vuokko is a Design Director at Monzo, where she leads Design across the company’s customer-facing surfaces: Personal Banking, Business Banking, and Brand & Card Design. Over the past four years she’s worked to scale the team and its culture through phases of hypergrowth while leading designers to create a high-quality, user-centric product that creates revenue. Before Monzo, Vuokko worked as a Product Designer in startups across London and NYC.
Gilliian Greene - Gillian is a Data Science Manager at Monzo where she leads the team doing analysis and running A/B tests to enable data-driven decision making for Personal Banking and Monzo Plus and Premium. Previously she worked at Booking.com leading the Data Science team optimising Payments.
Sophie Koonin - Sophie is a senior web engineer on the Business Banking team at Monzo, building out the growing web banking platform. As a Web Engineering Discipline lead, she’s passionate about building inclusive, accessible web applications that people love. Outside of work, Sophie writes about tech, teams and mental health at localghost.dev, builds silly web apps, and makes music.
Shefali Roy (panel moderator) - Shefali Roy is the former COO / CCO of TrueLayer, a London based Fintech that builds financial infrastructure APIs and operates in the Open Finance space. Her past professional experience has primarily been in operations, and compliance and regulatory affairs, at Stripe, Apple, Christies, and Goldman Sachs. She sits on the Boards of Ada’s List, the Barefoot College, and MakerDAO. She is based in London and angel invests at pre seed / seed / a rounds, in the following areas that interest her: the creator economy, FemTech, EdTech, FinTech, SaaS, and Marketplaces. She is particularly interested in startups with BIPOC founders and women founders, and she invests globally. Shefali also teaches at Said Business School at Oxford on startups, leadership, defi and crypto.

We'll also be featuring a blog series alongside this event, running in the week leading up to this Q&A session. We have a series of questions from Monzo who will be interviewing our Ada's List members asking them questions which fall into the #ChooseToChallenge theme.
